Our Mission Statement
With the advent of TPA legislation, in Canada and the United States and its effect on the everyday practice of Optometry, the need for accessing a source of high quality, scientific, CE articles has never been greater. The purpose of CE4OPTOMETRY is to provide optometrists with a convenient, high quality, low cost, COPE approved CE credit resource for acquiring the ever increasing pre-requisite of CE credits that are required to maintain their TPA certification.
How To Use This Site
The CE4OPTOMETRY site has been designed to be both user friendly and self explanatory. Using the "click on" buttons you can view the title, abstract, and full presentation of any of the CE articles listed on this site at no charge. To facilitate your search through our inventory of COPE approved CE credit articles, we have provided a screen at the 6 o'clock position that outlines our most frequently requested articles, as well as a separate listing in the 3 o'clock position of our most recently added articles. Please note that at least 3 new CE credit articles are added to the site each month.
When you find an article that is of interest and you've decided to proceed with the COPE approved ten-question multiple choice exam, you will be asked for a non-refundable credit card payment via PAYPAL, the same trusted and secure payment method that is used by E Bay. You may use any major credit card and payment is in US dollars.
A passing grade is 70%, and upon successfully completing the questionnaire you will immediately be issued with a COPE ID number for the article as well as a 1- hour COPE credit certificate via your printer. If you do not achieve the pre-requisite 70%, you will be given the option to immediately retake the exam at no additional charge. In the unlikely event that you still do not achieve a grade of 70%, and you want to take the exam for a third time, you will be asked for an additional payment.
